Hindalco Aluminium factory

Hindalco’s Renukoot plant was commissioned in 1962 with one potline and a smelter of 20,000tpa capacity. Over the years the plant has increased its capacity through various brownfield expansions and asset-sweating measures. The integrated facility houses an alumina refinery and smelter along with facilities for production of semi-fabricated products namely conductor redraw rods, sheet and extrusions.

NTPC Singrauli

Singrauli Super Thermal Power Plant is located at Shaktinagar in Sonebhadra district. The power plant is the first power plant of NTPC.[2][3] It sources coal from Jayant and Bina mines and water from Rihand Reservoir. It has a total installed capacity of 2000 MW.

NTPC Rihand

NTPC Rihand is situated 75 km away from Renukoot railway station. By personal cab or public transport bus, one can reach Rihand Nagar. Local market outside NTPC township is Bijpur. If one is interested in a bit bigger market, one has to go to Waidhan which is 30 km away from Rihandnagar.

Ultratech Cement Factory

It is one of the oldest and biggest cement factories in India. It is managed by the Ultratech cements, owned by the Aditya Birla Group.

Anpara Thermal Power Plant

Anpara Thermal Power Station is located at Anpara in Sonbhadra district. It has a total power-generation capacity of 3,830 MW using 9 units. The coal to all these units is fed from KhariaKakri and Beena open coal mines of NCL by company owned freight trains, a merry go round system maintained by UPRVUNL.

Northern Coalfield Mines

Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) was started in 1985 and is a subsidiary of Coal India. The area of Singrauli Coalfields is about 2202 Sq.Km. The coalfield consists of two basins, the Moher sub-basin with an area of 312 Sq.Km. and the largely unexplored Singrauli main basin (1890 Sq.Km) in the west.
